Hi there,

The idea for Envelope came about because of our experience with the many CRMs out there. Our team is made up of former and current small business owners, freelancers, and early-stage startup hires. For us, no CRM has ever fit just right. Some are clunky and full of unnecessary features, with exorbitant pricing and restrictive contracts to match. Some are more affordable but are underpowered. Most aren’t well designed.

After learning that there are others that agree, we decided to create the CRM we always wished we had. One that reflects our values of simplicity and high usability, designed to build and manage better relationships for entrepreneurs of all kinds. We’re not only relying on ourselves to do this. We’re collaborating with the small businesses, freelancers, and startups we intend to serve.

Since we exist in a crowded market and are planning to be an independent and profitable business as soon as possible — without raising institutional capital — our focus is on the following: customer development and success, user experience, and transparency. We want to be a company that works closely with our customers to deliver a product that is a joy to use and that helps them succeed, while being open and honest in our endeavor.
